Ganges Indian Restaurant

Ganges Indian Restaurant has been serving delicious, authentic Indian cuisine to residents of Beijing since 2005, and the success of our operations may be measured by our popularity among Indian nationals and other expatriates, overseas students and tourists, and Beijing natives, all of whom appreciate the fine taste of Indian food as well as the reasonable prices.

It's not just us saying that – our restaurant has received independent accolades and rave reviews from the Beijing press, notably the 'Editor's Choice,' 'Outstanding Indian,' and 'Best Indian' awards from the largest expat magazines in Beijing.

However, we receive our most valued reviews every day from our satisfied customers, as they tell us how they love our great-tasting food, and our friendly and efficient service.

Ganges Indian Restaurant is your best destination for great tasting, authentic Indian food in Beijing, with all your favorite Northern Indian recipes, highlights from the Southern Indian style of cooking, and the latest from the exciting fusion style of modern Mumbai.

In fact, we have so many choices on our menu that it is sometimes difficult to decide what to eat! This makes our special-value lunch buffets a tempting option, and an excellent way for you to try a little – or a lot! – of everything.

The popularity of our food and service has allowed us to expand from our first small restaurant in the university district of Haidian to a city-wide operation with branches in the Chaoyang CBD and the popular Lido area.

Our Haidian branch opened in December 2005, and quickly became known as a great place to satisfy a craving for curry. In December 2006 we opened a branch in the modern shopping mall 'The Place,' conveniently located in the Chaoyang CBD, and right in the middle of one of Beijing's main embassy and shopping areas – a short walk from the American, Indian, British, and New Zealand embassies, Ritan Park, and the Silk Market.

In April 2007 we opened a branch in the Hairun International Buildings on Jiangtai Lu, in the area close to the Lido Hotel and the Airport Expressway. This location is quickly becoming very popular due to its proximity to international schools, the headquarters of many large international companies, and to the Lido Hotel.

Our newest branch is in the Shimao Dept. Store, right in the heart of Beijing’s Sanlitun shopping district, an area of Beijing long considered a prime destination for entertainment and dining.

The food is extremely good, it’s been a great joy to eat authentic Indian food. You need to open a branch in Canada now. We love coming and will recommend your place to our colleagues in Air Canada and Cathay Pacific.

I have been really pleased with Ganges and the Pan-Indian cuisine served here. It is an excellent illustration of entrepreneurship. I am sure that it will flourish into a sprawling chain.

I have been a resident of Beijing for some time and my love for Indian food especiall the Indian bread 'Nan' has made me frequent all Indian restaurants in Beijing. Now I have eaten here in Ganges and realised they make the best and most authentic nan here in Beijing. Their other dishes are also equally lip smacking. I enjoy coming to Ganges and enjoy a cuisine very close to my heart. Keep up the good work!
